Awning fabric
By cleaning the awning fabric, you are able to extend
the livelihood of your awning and make it look great. Of course, cleaning
the fabric is not just as simple as spraying it down.
The first thing that is needed for scrubbing the awning fabric is the
right tools. Pretty much the only tool you will need is a soft to medium
brush or other kind of scrubbing device.
Then, follow these steps:
• Wash the awning fabric in a consistent fashion every time that
it is washed. The best way to do this is to try to remember to use up
and down strokes as you wash.
• Apply pressure – It is important that you apply the same
amount of pressure to each part of the awning fabric. Doing this will
allow you to make sure the awning is evenly cleaned.
• Start from the top – If you start from the top and then
work your way down, there is less of a likelihood that you will need
to re-clean the places you have already cleaned if you decided to clean
it vice-versa.
• Overlap – Just like you would overlap slightly where
you cut your grass, you should try to do the same with the way you clean
your awning fabric. Doing this will help ensure that you do not miss
any spots.
• Don’t forget the underside – Apply cleaners to
the underside and let them stand for 10 minutes. This part of the awning
fabric does not need to be scrubbed, but it should be sprayed off.
